I'm delighted to announce the birth of Abigail Katherine Affa, my second niece, the daughter of my younger sister, Megan Affa, and her husband Dean.

Abigail was born at 11:36 a.m. today, July 30, in Denver, via C-section (Megan had such a hard time with her first daughter, Madison, two years ago that they scheduled a C-section this time around). Abigail weighs 8 pounds, 1 ounce, is 20 inches long, has lots of dark hair and blue eyes.

Both Megan and Abigail are doing fine, and I'm an auntie twice over now. Kip's a double uncle and Andrew has two little girl cousins. And my lucky sister Jennifer is an auntie cubed. :-)

Andrew's been going around for the last week, saying, "Baby Abigail, baby Abigail, baby Abigail." He likes the way it sounds.
