I'm in the process of transferring all our prescriptions away from Walgreens, and this e-mail that my sister Jennifer got from a pharmacy manager illustrates one reason why:

Hi Jennifer,

I would like to appolagize for the poor experiences that you have had in our store. As with this specific issue we faxed your doctor two times and then called and left a voicemail, but the recording said that they no longer except voicemails only faxes. There is very strict federal guidlines with controlled drugs and we have to follow those rules. Again, I'm sorry that this has caused delays for you. You are a very important customer to us. We are looking into the issue as to why the internet was saying that your perscription was ready instead of waiting for the doctor to call back.

Thank You
Justin Schroeder
Store Manager

The misspelling of "prescription" wasn't a one-time deal; he had it misspelled in the subject line as well.

Don't you just hate it when the Internet says things that aren't true? What a lying piece of technology it is.
