Two very important items:

Andrew brought home a reminder last week that he's having school pictures taken this week. One of the tips on the sheet was this:

"Pants are recommended."

This strikes me as excellent advice for everyone, not just first-graders who are having school pictures taken.

And I picked up a message on my home voice mail this morning:

"Hi, Karen, it's Maggie. I just wanted to let you know it was 09, not 08, so we're good. Happy birthday to Jim, and I'm sorry I missed you."

Many happy returns, Jim. And Maggie, you're an idiot. Sorry I missed you.
