On the way to work this morning, Andrew had a suggestion.

"Mommy, since gas prices are so expensive, we should move somewhere where they are cheaper," he said.

I told him that they were high everywhere, and he wanted to know why. So I attempted to explain the oil crisis and supply and demand to a 7-year-old.

Well, then, he said, the people who produce the oil should use a machine to do it. I told him they used a lot of machines. He considered that for awhile.

"Then the people who buy the oil should squash them and take the oil," he said.

Anyone up for a squash-and-raid party?
